What are terpenes? And how do they work in our bodies?

If you are at all interested in CBD products, you have probably heard of “terpenes”.

Terpenes are closely related to cannabis, and knowing what they are can help you choose the CBD products that will give you the best results.

In this article, we will introduce terpenes and what they do.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes are terpenoids, a general term for naturally occurring substances found in many plants.

Terpenes are found in cannabis plants, citrus fruits such as oranges and lemons, lavender and rose flowers, herbs such as thyme, and various trees, and they create the characteristic aromas of plants.

In addition to plants, animals, insects, and fungi also have terpenes, and it is estimated that there are more than 20,000 species of terpenes in all.

Terpenes are substances that produce characteristic fragrances. In the case of plants, they emit fragrances to lure insects to pollinate them, and conversely, the power of terpenes can keep pests away.

For humans, terpene scents can reduce anxiety and stress, and are used in aromatherapy, air fresheners, and cosmetics.

In recent years, research has been conducted on its medical applications, and it is expected to have analgesic, sedative, and diabetes treatment effects.

Entourage effects can be obtained

CBD is known to regulate the autonomic nervous system and improve the quality of sleep.

The combination of cannabinoids such as CBD and terpenes produces what is called the “entourage effect”.

The entourage effect is a synergistic effect, meaning that CBD oil containing terpenes has a stronger entourage effect than CBD taken alone.

In addition, studies have shown that terpenes change the shape of endocannabinoid receptors, causing more CBD to be poured into them.

How to choose CBD products

There are three extraction methods for CBD products: isolate, broad spectrum, and full spectrum.

Isolate is CBD-only extraction, Broad Spectrum is extraction of all cannabinoids except THC, and Full Spectrum is extraction of all cannabinoids, including THC.

For an entourage effect, terpenes and other cannabinoids must be present in addition to CBD, so we recommend either Broad Spectrum or Full Spectrum CBD products.

Conclusion

We have introduced terpenes.

Terpenes are naturally occurring substances called terpenoids found in plants and other plants, and are responsible for the unique aromas of plants.

The aroma of terpenes can reduce anxiety and stress, and they are used in aromatherapy and cosmetics.

Terpenes can be combined with cannabinoids such as CBD to produce an entourage effect, which can be felt more intensely.

What is CBN and what is the difference between CBN and CBD?

At the same time that CBD and THC are gaining momentum, an ingredient called CBN is also beginning to attract attention.

CBN is a cannabinoid that works differently from CBD.

In this Blog post, we will introduce what CBN is and why it is attracting so much attention.

What is CBN?

CBN is a cannabinoid produced when THC is exposed to light, oxygen, and temperature.

Although cannabinoids are produced from THC, which has psychotropic effects, they do not cause dependence or a high, and are said to have no harmful effects on the body.

There are more than 100 cannabinoids in total, including CBD and THC.

CBN is one of the very few cannabinoids and is called a rare cannabinoid because of its rarity. It is said that less than 1% of the total amount of CBN is extracted from hemp, making it more expensive than CBD and THC.

What are the benefits of CBN?

CBN has been studied less than CBD and THC, but its currently known effects include sedation, anticonvulsant, anti-inflammatory, and sleep-improving effects.

Furthermore, CBN is believed to be more compatible with terpenes than CBD, which may have a stronger effect on the body due to its high entourage effect.

Previous experiments with CBN suggest that it may provide relief from chronic muscle pain disorders such as TMJ and fibromyalgia without euphoric or psychotropic effects.

It has also been reported to provide symptomatic relief from other widespread numbing and painful ailments.

What is the difference between CBN and CBD?

CBD and CBN differ in the way they work in the body.

CBD works directly on serotonin receptors, while CBN works directly on CB1 and CB2 receptors.

THC has high binding to CB1 and is known to bind strongly to CB1 and get us high, while CBN does not bind as strongly as THC and is said to have less than one-tenth the psychotropic effects. CBN is not as strongly bound as THC and has less than one-tenth the psychotropic effect.

This makes CBN a potential substitute for THC in the medical field.

Conclusion

We have introduced CBN.

CBN is a cannabinoid produced when THC is exposed to light, oxygen, and temperature.

It is known as a rare cannabinoid because only a small amount is obtained from whole hemp.

CBN has sedative and anti-inflammatory properties, and it works well with terpenes to provide a stronger effect on our bodies through its entourage effect.

Compared to CBD and THC, there are not many research reports on CBN, but it is one of the cannabinoids that will attract more attention in the future.

Exploring the Healing Potentials of Thai Medical Cannabis

In recent years, there has been a global resurgence in the interest surrounding the therapeutic benefits of cannabis. One country, in particular, has been making waves in the world of medical cannabis: Thailand. As one of the first Southeast Asian countries to legalise medical cannabis, Thailand has opened up exciting possibilities for research and treatment. In this blog post, we’ll delve into the fascinating world of Thai medical cannabis and its potential to revolutionise healthcare in the region.

The History of Cannabis in Thailand

Cannabis has a long history in Thailand, with documented use dating back to ancient times.
Traditionally, it was used for various medicinal and recreational purposes. However, the government imposed strict regulations on cannabis during the mid-20th century, largely in response to international pressure. These stringent laws remained in place for decades, leading to the stigmatisation of cannabis in the country.
In recent years, Thailand has recognized the need to revisit its stance on cannabis and has taken significant steps to decriminalise and regulate its use for medicinal purposes. In 2018, Thailand became the first Southeast Asian nation to legalise medical cannabis, marking a historic turning point in the country’s approach to the plant.
With the legalization of medical cannabis, Thailand has become one of the most promising destinations in Asia for medical tourism.

The Promise of Thai Medical Cannabis

Diverse Strains:
Thailand’s unique climate and geography provide an ideal environment for cultivating a wide variety of cannabis strains. These strains may contain specific cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, in different proportions, making them suitable for various medical conditions.

Government Support:
The Thai government has established the “Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO)” to oversee the production and distribution of medical cannabis. This ensures quality and consistency in the products made available to patients.

Traditional Thai Medicine:
The integration of cannabis into traditional Thai medicine practices is an exciting development. This harmonious blending of ancient wisdom with modern medical research has the potential to offer holistic and culturally relevant treatments.

Pioneering Research:
Thai scientists and researchers have been studying the medicinal properties of cannabis for years. With the legalisation of medical cannabis, there’s a growing body of research to explore the plant’s effectiveness in treating various conditions.

Conditions Treated with Thai Medical Cannabis

Chronic Pain:
Medical cannabis has shown remarkable success in managing chronic pain, making it a lifeline for individuals suffering from conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, and neuropathic pain.

Epilepsy:
CBD-rich strains have been used to effectively reduce the frequency and severity of epileptic seizures in some patients. Because cannabidiol can suppress seizures in both adults and children, medical cannabis is often used in the treatment of epilepsy.

Cancer:
Cannabis may help alleviate symptoms associated with cancer treatment, such as nausea, pain, and loss of appetite. American researchers have stated that cannabidiol kills cancer cells and inhibits tumor growth.

Mental Health:
Preliminary research suggests that certain cannabinoids may have a positive impact on conditions like anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Challenges and Future Prospects

While Thai medical cannabis holds immense promise, it also faces some challenges:

Regulatory Hurdles:
Strict regulations and limited patient access have hindered the growth of the medical cannabis industry in Thailand. Streamlining the regulatory process will be crucial to unlocking its full potential.

Education:
There’s a need for robust education and awareness campaigns to reduce stigma and ensure that both healthcare professionals and patients are well-informed about the potential benefits of medical cannabis.

Research and Development:
More research is needed to explore the full range of medical applications of cannabis and to develop new, specialised strains tailored to specific medical conditions.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Thai medical cannabis represents an exciting frontier in the field of healthcare. With its rich history, diverse strains, and government support, Thailand is poised to become a leader in the global medical cannabis industry. As research continues to advance, and regulations evolve, patients in Thailand and beyond may benefit from this natural, holistic approach to healing. It’s a journey that holds great promise for the future of healthcare in the region.

The Budding Green Wave: Thailand’s Thriving Cannabis Industry and Legalisation of Medical Cannabis

Thailand, known for its beautiful beaches, rich culture, and delicious cuisine, is now making a name for itself in a different sphere – the cannabis industry. In recent years, the Land of Smiles, where medical marijuana has been legalized in recent years, has been experiencing a remarkable transformation as it emerges as a player in the global cannabis market. This blog post explores the evolution of the cannabis industry in Thailand, from its historical roots to its promising future.

Historical Context

Thailand has a long history of using cannabis for various purposes, dating back centuries. It was traditionally used for medicinal and textile purposes, and the plant played a significant role in Thai culture and folklore. However, as global attitudes towards cannabis shifted in the 20th century, Thailand followed suit, implementing strict anti-drug laws.

Decriminalisation and Legalisation

In 2018, Thailand made a significant policy shift by legalising the use of medical cannabis and decriminalising recreational use. This landmark decision was a pivotal moment for the nation, as it recognized the potential benefits of cannabis in healthcare and sought to position itself as a pioneer in the industry. As a result, Thailand became the first Southeast Asian nation to embrace the medicinal properties of the plant.

In cities such as Bangkok, Pattaya, and Chiang Mai, even stores selling marijuana for recreational use have appeared.

The Medical Cannabis Program

Thailand’s medical cannabis program has been steadily gaining momentum. Patients suffering from a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis, have found relief through the use of cannabis-based medicines. The government’s commitment to research and development has led to the establishment of cannabis research centres and educational initiatives to promote responsible usage.

Domestic Cultivation

One of the key strategies to boost the cannabis industry in Thailand has been domestic cultivation. The government introduced a cannabis home cultivation program, allowing households to grow up to six cannabis plants for personal use. This initiative not only provides patients with a sustainable supply of medication but also encourages economic growth in rural areas.

Export Potential

Thailand’s cannabis industry is not just about meeting domestic demand; it has its eyes set on the global market. It will not be long before Thai Cannabis is exported to the U.S. and Canada, where marijuana is legalized. The country is well-positioned to become a major exporter of cannabis-based products due to its favourable climate and experience in agriculture. Thai cannabis products are increasingly finding their way to international markets, creating opportunities for growth and economic development.

Cannabis Tourism

As the cannabis industry continues to flourish, Thailand is also considering the potential of cannabis tourism. With its picturesque landscapes and thriving cannabis culture, the country could attract a new wave of tourists interested in cannabis-related experiences, education, and wellness retreats.

High levels of THC found in cows ate industrial hemp

When 10 cows were fed industrial hemp, it was found that the cows’ behavior was abnormal and high levels of THC and CBD were detected in their milk.

The experiment, conducted in Germany, was conducted using two varieties of hemp grass, one with low THC and the other with high THC.

Both varieties contain less than 0.2% THC, making them common industrial hemp.

In the first phase, the cows were fed the entire hemp plant of the low THC variety, and in the second phase, they were fed only the flowers, leaves, and seeds of the high THC variety.

The first phase showed no health effects on the cows.

In the second phase, the health effects were more pronounced and were observed in the tongue, yawning, bloodshot eyes, increased nasal discharge, salivation, and lightheadedness.

Some of the affected cows were seen to have unsteady gait and abnormal posture.

In the second phase, the amount of food eaten by the cows and the amount of milk produced were also reduced.

And the milk produced contained 316 micrograms of THC per kilogram (1 microgram = 0.001 milligrams) and 1174 micrograms of CBD.

Although the exact components of what is causing these effects are not known, it is said that the effects are probably caused by THC.

In addition, it remains unclear whether humans get high when they drink milk in which THC has been detected.

This German experiment found that natural levels of THC in cannabis grass had no health effects on cows, and that feeding THC-rich parts of the plant, such as flowers and leaves, reduced the cows’ appetite and milk produced.

Several municipalities are considering the possibility of using cannabis and industrial hemp as livestock feed, and the results of this study may have been a very informative experiment.

Because hemp grass grows quickly and is inexpensive, it is expected to be used to feed the next generation and as a secondary food source, but the results of this study do not indicate that it is safe.

As more research is done and its safety is assured, the possibility of it becoming a food source will likely increase.

Traditional dishes made with marijuana are back

Cooking with marijuana has been gaining momentum in Thailand since marijuana was removed from the drug list.

Many investors and chefs are creating dishes with marijuana and exploring the many possibilities of cannabis.

Cannabis is a plant with a unique smell, but is it suitable for use in cooking?

Let’s explore why so many dishes are made with cannabis in Thailand.

Why are so many dishes made with marijuana?

Before marijuana was regulated in Thailand in 1934, it was a plant that was deeply involved in people’s lives.

Marijuana is familiar to people for both medicinal and culinary purposes, and a 1908 cookbook even includes a recipe for curry made with marijuana.

With the decriminalization of cannabis, many old traditional dishes have been revived.

Cannabis has long been the herb of choice for noodle soups and traditional dishes.

Thai cuisine is highly acclaimed around the world, and the revival of dishes made with marijuana is sure to bring even more appealing Thai cuisine to the rest of the world.

Which parts of marijuana are used for cooking?

When marijuana is used in cooking, the roots and leaves are often used, not the flowers or buds.

The roots and leaves are rich in glutamic acid, which is thought to bring out the flavor of the food.

In addition, cannabis is expected to have anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting effects.

It also improves digestion, and taking cannabis with meals can provide even better benefits.

What kind of food is it used for?

It is used in Thai dishes such as gapao rice, laap, omelets with cannabis leaves, soups with powdered cannabis leaves, pizza, and noodles.

It was mentioned in old cookbooks and used in many dishes in each region.

As mentioned earlier, the roots and leaves are rich in glutamic acid, which is believed to be the secret of its delicious taste.

Conclusion

Since marijuana was removed from the drug list in Thailand, it has been used more and more for cooking.

In Thailand, the use of cannabis in cooking has been around for a long time, and it is not so much a new culinary creation, but rather the return of a traditional cuisine to the modern age.

The use of cannabis in cooking is expected to have anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting effects.

How many times is CBD liquid best to vape?

If you have never used CBD liquid before, you don’t know how much CBD liquid to vape.

If you consume a large amount of CBD liquid, you may experience side effects of CBD, so it is recommended that you vape CBD liquid the recommended number of times.

However, there are some products that do not list the recommended number of times to vape CBD liquid, so we will introduce the recommended number of times to vape CBD liquid in this article.

Basic:CBD Liquid

CBD liquid is a liquid containing CBD ingredients for vape (electronic cigarette).

In a vape, the liquid is heated and the vapor produced is inhaled.

CBD liquid is available in low to high concentrations and in numerous flavors, making it a popular choice among young people.

The use of CBD oil is not recommended in vaping, but rather the use of specialized CBD liquids.

CBD liquid is becoming more popular with people who want to quit smoking cigarettes because they can feel the effects of CBD in a shorter period of time than with other CBD ingestion methods.

How many times should CBD liquid be vaped?

A good rule of thumb is to vape CBD liquid 3-10 times.

The number of times to puff CBD liquid depends on the concentration, but for beginners, 3-5 times is recommended for any concentration of CBD liquid.

Gradually increase the number of times as you get used to it, and aim for 10 inhales at most.

Each inhalation should take 1-2 seconds, allowing the inhaled vapor to build up in the lungs for a few seconds before exhaling.

By allowing it to build up in the lungs for a few seconds, the CBD is absorbed through the capillaries of the lungs.

Inhaling more than 10 times may result in an overdose depending on the concentration, so be careful not to inhale too much.

Choose the right type of CBD liquid

There are three types of CBD liquid.

There are three types of CBD liquid (CBD products): “isolate,” “broad spectrum,” and “full spectrum.

Isolate” is a product from which only CBD ingredients are extracted, while “Broad Spectrum” contains not only CBD, but also CBN, CBG, etc. “Full Spectrum” contains THC.

Isolate contains only CBD and is the safest to use because its effects are not too strong.

Broad Spectrum contains ingredients other than CBD, so it is expected to be highly effective due to its anthrage effect.

Full Spectrum contains more cannabis grass compounds including THC. Because it contains numerous compounds, a strong anthrage effect can be expected.

Conclusion

We have introduced the number of times to inhale CBD liquid and its effects.

The standard number of times to inhale CBD liquid is about 3 to 10 times.

Most manufacturers recommend that you aim for about 5 inhales and increase the number of inhales a little as you get used to it.

The CBD Liquid suction ingestion method has a higher absorption rate than other methods of ingestion, so you will see the effects sooner after the suction.

The appropriate number of puffs will allow you to feel the maximum effects of CBD, which can be expected to reduce stress and relax you.

Why is CBD oil not working for you?

CBD provides a relaxing effect, and numerous CBD users have benefited from CBD.

However, some users are concerned that they do not feel the effects of CBD oil.

If you are not feeling the effects of CBD very well, there is a high possibility that you can improve the situation by paying attention to how you use the product.

In this article, we will introduce the causes of not feeling the effects of CBD oil and the points to be improved.

Why you do not feel the effects of CBD oil

Why can’t you feel the effects of CBD oil?

The effects of CBD oil and other CBD products may be affected by individual differences, your physical condition on that day, and the method of intake.

Below are some common possible causes.

●You have not started using the product for a short period of time

If you have not been using CBD products or CBD oil for a short period of time, you may not feel the full effects of CBD.

CBD is said to be more effective with continuous use.

Since it is an ingredient that acts on the body, it is important to understand that there are individual differences.

It is not common for supplements or medicines other than CBD to have immediate effects, so if you are new to using it, we recommend using it for a few weeks or a few months.

If you do not see results after using it for longer than that, please refer to the causes listed below.

●Low CBD intake

If your CBD intake is low, you may not feel the effects.

There is no prescribed daily intake of CBD, but it generally ranges from 5 mg to 600 mg.

If you are taking less than 5 mg of CBD per day, you may be taking too little CBD and should gradually increase your intake.

●Does not contain the listed amount of CBD

The CBD oil you are using may not contain the stated amount of CBD.

The CBD market is booming worldwide, but a 2016 US FDA survey found that about 40% of products do not contain the stated amount of CBD.

It is also important to note that counterfeit products from well-known manufacturers are also being sold on the Internet.

To be sure that your product contains the amount of CBD listed on the label, choose a CBD oil that has a third-party certification of ingredients.

It has been thoroughly tested by a third-party organization and is safe to use.

If you do not feel the effects of CBD oil

What should you do if you do not feel the effects of CBD oil?

Here are some suggestions on how to improve the effectiveness of CBD oil to make it easier to feel the effects of CBD oil.

●Change the CBD oil

If you are not feeling the effects of the CBD oil you are currently using, you may find it easier to feel the effects of CBD oil if you change your CBD oil.

CBD oil is sold by a variety of manufacturers, some of which do not contain the stated amount of CBD and some of which are inferior.

It is best to choose CBD oil that is favored by many and that has a third-party certificate of ingredients.

Third-party ingredient certificates can also confirm that the CBD product is free of impurities, which is a criterion for choosing a CBD product that you can use with confidence.

●Take the proper dosage

Take the proper dosage.

Too much or too little CBD intake is not effective.

The recommended daily CBD intake is between 5 mg and 600 mg.

If you are taking a small amount of CBD, increase your intake by 5 mg every two days, and if your daily intake is too high, try reducing your intake once.

When increasing your intake, do not increase it all at once, but rather increase it gradually.

CBD is said to have no side effects, but in rare cases, side effects such as dizziness and diarrhea may occur, so it is recommended not to take more than 1,500 mg.

●Continuous use

Continuous use of CBD is sufficient to feel the full effects of CBD.

CBD acts on our body to give us various benefits, but it does not change for a long time after a single intake.

It is only when CBD stays in the body that the effects of CBD are felt in the body.

If you are new to CBD, you should start by continuing to use it.

Conclusion

We have introduced the causes of ineffectiveness of CBD oil and how to improve it.

If you are not feeling the effects of CBD oil, it is possible that your CBD intake is low or the CBD oil product itself does not contain the stated amount of CBD.

If you are not feeling the effects of CBD, we recommend changing your CBD oil or changing your daily CBD intake.

With the proper method and amount of CBD intake, you can incorporate CBD into your daily life and live a vibrant life!
